Maurizio Delvecchio was born in Basel in 1962 into an Italian family. From a young age he was attracted to drawing and art. Having returned to Italy with his parents, he graduated from the Art School of Ravenna, and it was in this period that he began to paint and hold his first exhibitions. In 1985 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna. He won the 1st prize in the monthly magazine "Arte" Giorgio Mondadori in 1998. In 2011 he participated in the fifty-fourth Venice Biennale in the Italian Pavilion. currently, he lives and works in Cesenatico.
