Lots are collected upon payment of the full hammer price. In the event of failure to collect at the same time as the payment of the full hammer price or in any case within the deadline set for the payment of the lots won, Capitolium Art shall not be liable for any deterioration, damage and/or theft of the lot and reserves the right to request the payment of the storage costs – of EUR 25 (twenty-five) per day – , keeping the goods, at the Buyer's expense and risk, until full payment has been received. In the event that the amount due for storage exceeds the purchase value of the lot, the Auction House may claim against the lot itself to repay the debt due. Collection is made by appointment only, to be agreed in advance (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and our auction days) by writing to: spedizioni@capitoliumart.it
The lots will be collected at the Ospitaletto warehouse, but can also be picked up free of charge at the locations in Brescia, Rome, and Turin. However, an appointment must always be scheduled in advance.
Capitolium Art does not provide a shipping service. Where requested, Capitoliumart can provide the name of couriers, whom the Buyer is free to contact for a free quote, including via the Auction House. The buyer is free to entrust the shipment to any other trusted forwarder. Capitolium Art shall in no case be held responsible for the shipping service chosen by the buyer. For more information, please write to: spedizioni@capitoliumart.it.
Where required, Capitoliumart can organize the packaging of works. The cost for the packaging service is EUR 25 for each item, with the exception of delicate or bulky lots, for which a written quote must be requested by email to: spedizioni@capitoliumart.it.
The export of lots outside Italian territory may be subject to the issue of prior authorization/license, governed by Legislative Decree No 42/2004 and subsequent amendments. The export of lots outside the territory of the European Union is also governed by the Council Regulation (EEC) No 3911/92 of 9.12.1992 on the export of cultural goods and subsequent amendments. Buyers are required to comply with this legislation, and with any other related provision. The Buyer is responsible for the issue of any required certificate of free circulation/export. Capitolium Art does not provide any guarantee either on the issue of the certificate of free circulation/export, or on the time required for its issue. Failure to issue or delayed issue of any license/authorization of export/free circulation does not constitute grounds for cancellation or termination of the sale, nor does it justify the failure to pay/late payment of the amount due by the Buyer.
