ABRANS PAOLO MASSIMO (Livorno, 1952) He is an all-round artist, he uses pen, colors and brushes to create his works of art with excellent interpretative skills, to the point of involving the interlocutor. He began painting at the age of 12 alongside his uncle; color is predominant in his works and the spatula technique is particular, less precise than the brush and extremely synthetic. He paints his paintings in a few minutes and often alone. "The palette and the palette knife are just an excuse to mask what I feel in everyday life, but in the end the color I put in the paintings unmasks me." The favorite subject of his works is Livorno, which often, when painted from life, blend in with the surrounding landscape, becoming one. All this in a reflective solitude towards society, the mass, from which Abrans Paolo Massimo distanced himself in order not to be carried away "by the single thought".
