Av Mazzega Biography

The origins of AVMazzega (1946 - ) are found way back in 1946 in Murano, the island of glassmaking tradition, where the company still produces its chandeliers today. Founded by Gianni Bruno Mazzega. During the 70s and 80s the glass company specialized in the construction of lamps intended for a high, demanding and niche market. Thanks to the collaboration with leading international designers, starting from the 90s it has developed two collections: the contemporary one with designer lamps intended for a modern environment, and the classic one, with classic Venetian chandeliers and sophisticated eclectic ones interpreted by important furniture designers international. In recent years the company has increasingly specialized in the tailor-made contract market, thus becoming able to create important lighting fixtures upon precise indications of the final client.
