Luciano Bartolini (Fiesole, 1948 - 1994). His education was not artistic, as he undertook linguistic studies. He made numerous trips throughout his life. In 1973 he created his first works, using wrapping paper and always favoring this type of material for the creation of his works. In 1974 he held his first solo exhibition in a palace near Florence. In 1980 he participated in the Venice Biennale, exhibiting works related to the theme of the myth of Atlantis, inspired by a trip to Santorini in Greece. In 1983 he held an important solo exhibition in Berlin. In 1994 he died at just forty-six years old and in 2000 a retrospective was dedicated to him at the Gallery of Modern Art in Bologna.
