Amleto Bertrand Biography
Born in Messina in 1927, of French origin, self-taught painter and sculptor, he also practices tempera and ink. He lived for some time in France, from a very young age he dedicated himself to sculpture and painting, in 1953 he moved to Milan dedicating himself to artistic activity. • Figure in the Roll of Honor of European Artists, Chieti. • Academy for artistic merit “Sciences and Arts”, Pescara. • Golden Seal for merit. • Pompeii “Italian art for the world”, 1976. He participated by invitation in numerous group exhibitions and art exhibitions in Italy, obtaining prizes and recognition for artistic merit. Gold medal, Department of Fine Arts of Rome, 1970, his work appears in the Gallery of Modern Art, Rome (Palazzo Braschi). Present in numerous Italian and foreign collections.
