Osvaldo Borsani Biography

Osvaldo Borsani (Milan, 1911 - 1985). His parents owned a furniture atelier and Osvaldo learned the family business very early. While still a student, he signed the La Casa Minima project and presented it at the Milan Triennale in 1933. Already in 1932 he opened a sales and design space in Milan and in the post-war period he collaborated with artists and friends, including Aligi Sassu, Agenore Fabbri, Arnaldo and Giò Pomodoro, Roberto Crippa, Fausto Melotti, Lucio Fontana and Andrea Cascella. In 1954 at the Triennale Tecno presented the Farfalla D70 sofa and the P40 chaise longue. Subsequently he designed furniture for offices and company headquarters, which he exhibited at the Triennale of the protest in 1968. In 1970 he created the Tecno Project Center, which conceived architecture and new projects.
