Mario Cerioli (Castelfrentano, 1938). He trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, graduated in Sculpture and towards the mid-1950s, worked in the studios of Ettore Colla and Pericle Fazzini. The first works are tree trunks skewered by nails, subsequently he uses cut shapes and figures which he links to images of everyday life and advertising. In the 1960s he created objects in raw wood and wooden shapes repeated in series. He participates in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
