Born in Verona on 25 January 1923, he began his art studies at a young age in Verona with Pino Casarini, but, rebelling against all teaching, he worked and tried to solve problems on his own like any self-taught person. Born in Verona on 25 January 1923, he began his art studies at a young age in Verona with Pino Casarini, but, rebelling against all teaching, he worked and tried to solve problems on his own like any self-taught person. He later went to France, attracted by the work of Maurice de Vlaminck and studied above all his lyricism. He exhibited in the best Italian galleries and had a success in Rome, at the Galleria del Camino, in 1956, immediately followed by another at S. Marco in the international Tavoletta exhibition. He left for America and there too there was a succession of successes, the last of which was honored by the presence of the ambassador to the UN Exc. Egidio Ortona and by the major American authorities, both in the artistic and social fields. A documentary on his greatest works is currently being filmed in the USA.
