Luca Crippa (Seregno, 1924 - 2002). He made his debut with photographic collages and multi-material works in a surrealist style. In 1946 he moved to Milan and worked with Giò Ponti. In 1948 he participated in the Milan Triennale with decorative works on wood, glass and canvas. He dedicated himself to the activity of set designer, creating projects for important Italian and foreign theatres. In 1964 he participated in the Venice Biennale and won important prizes. From 1971 to 1993 he was a teacher at the Brera Academy and in 1972 he was appointed commissioner for international graphics at the Venice Biennale.
