Luciano Dall'acqua Biography
From Luciano Water. Venice, 1932. Sculptor, engraver and painter. Since the 1950s he has participated in artistic life with his presence in national and international competitions, obtaining numerous prizes and recognitions. Since 1966 he has collaborated with the Fucina degli Angeli in Murano. In 1972, invited to Mexico, he stayed and worked for several months, holding a solo show at the Las Rajas Gallery in Mexico City. In 1975, in Denmark, he organized personal exhibitions curated by the Sholernes Kunstforning and the Angelands Museum. His exhibition activity continued in 1976 with solo shows in Götteborg and Bromolla in Sweden; in the same year he also exhibited in the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara. Other solo shows follow in Italy – in Treviso, Venice, Gorizia, Catania, Ferrara, Brindisi, Messina, Vicenza, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Padua, Sulmona, Verona – and in Switzerland, Austria and Spain. He was part of the AZ Group and is the creator and founder of the RIVENISE 80 Group. Glass sculptures and aquatints take on great importance in his production. During his artistic maturation, the artist prefers essential shapes and styles, almost abandoning color. A fundamental role is played by the manual and technical data of the artistic operation. Also important in his production are the works created with papyrus, in which past and present, signs and hieroglyphics merge. In glass works, however, the tension expressed in works carried out with other materials takes on softer tones, highlighting the intrinsic value of brightness.
