Fiume (Croatia), 1937. Painter and installationist. He studied at the Scientific High School of Rimini and at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Bologna. It debuts in Graz as part of the Trino '71 exhibition at the Landesmuseum Joanneum. The first major exhibition was in Bologna, in 1977, at the Galleria Comunale d'Arte Moderna. This was followed by several participations in other important events. In 1981 he took part in the exhibition Italian Art 1960-1980 at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. In 1985 he was included by Barilli in the great Anniottanta exhibition, spread across multiple exhibition venues. In 1986, the authoritative traveling exhibition Aspetti dell'arte italiana 1960-1980 - which visited various German cities - also established its importance on an international level. In 1987 he was invited to another important exhibition – Astratta, abstract secessions in Italy from the post-war period to 1990 – in Verona. There are also numerous personal ones. Starting from composite suggestions, ranging from Kandinsky and Klee to the Informal, the artist subsequently learned the lessons of Arte Povera and Minimalism. Since the mid-eighties he has been part of the Nuovi-nuovi group, identified by Barilli: it is the generation that moves between "quotationist" tendencies and recoveries of color and emotion. His paintings are characterized by a particular attention to the material, always magmatic and insistent; the apparent gestures are instead controlled and tempered by technical knowledge. His is a dynamic painting, in which his personal imagination is reflected.
