Mario De Leo (Ruvo di Puglia (BA), 16 November 1944) lives in Monza and works in Lissone in the “Perlarte” studio. Mario De Leo (Ruvo di Puglia (BA), 16 November 1944) lives in Monza and works in Lissone in the “Perlarte” studio. In the 70s he alternated his activity as a painter with that of a musician, collaborating with the maestro Giancarlo Disnan, who took care of the arrangements of all De Leo's compositions, performed both in concerts and recorded, work which allowed the creation of the first LP from title “Sound situation”. De Leo uses drawing, sculpture and painting as a fusion of different techniques. Since the mid-eighties Carlo Cazzamali (collector and artistic director of the "La Pesa" gallery in Monza) has been interested in De Leo's poetics and promotes his personal exhibitions for the cultural expansion of the artist's work.
