Pierluigi De Lutti Biography

Pierluigi de Lutti (Monfalcone 1959) At a very young age he left home and family to reach Ferrara, where for a few years he alternated his studies with sporting activity. Having graduated from the Art Institute, his artistic streak manifested itself in the 1980s when, upon returning to Friuli, he made contact with Luciano Chinese's Nuovo Spazio gallery and with the art critic Paolo Rizzi, who followed him until his death. His artistic inspiration, however, came with his attendance of Maestro Giuseppe Zigaina's atelier. In those years he began to exhibit his first works which were appreciated by the public and by critics, not only local ones. In the nineties, he attended abstraction courses for long periods in Los Angeles and New York, thus moving from the figurative to the informal. In 2005 he began his collaboration with the Orler art gallery and the general public immediately esteemed his proposals and to this day follows him with interest in his artistic development. After selecting one of his works, the MoMa in New York invited him to enter in The Artist Viewing Program by inserting the Attuale Spiritualismo catalog into the museum library.
