Patrizia Elli Biography
Patrizia Elli is an Italian illustrator who graduated in art from the Liceo Artistico in Milan. After her training, she collaborated for two years with the stylist Gianni Baldini as a designer of fabrics and patterns. Subsequently, she worked for seven years as a comics artist for various publications, including Diabolik, Intrepido and Lancio Story. In 1976, together with Giuliano Bartoli, he opened an illustration studio serving agencies and direct clients.
Her career as an illustrator has ranged across different techniques and fields, such as publishing, toy design, pop-up books, animation, mock-ups and animatics. Since 1980 he has been a member of the AI Illustrators Association and held the position of President from 1989 to 1991.
In addition to her activity as an illustrator, Patrizia Elli has always shown an interest in the human figure and dance, which have inspired her art as a sculptor, painter and creator of jewelery sculptures. His works prefer traditional techniques such as oil colours, tempera, sanguine and pastel.
Among the most significant works of his career are the packaging for the Versace perfumes Red Jeans and Blue Jeans (drawn in dry tempera), the book Artworks Costa Atlantica for Costa Crociere (made with the sanguine technique), the cartoons for the Albero Azzurro broadcast, the posters for Fiera Milano (made with mixed media), the Christmas gifts for Lever and the fantasy illustrations for Rizzoli.
