Silvio Formichetti Biography

Silvio Formichetti (Pratola Peligna 1969) He came to the attention of critics for his participation, at just thirty, in the 'XXVI international review of Contemporary Art' in Sulmona, in 1999. This was followed by personal and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad which culminated with the staging of the prestigious 2003 solo exhibition in the evocative context of the Palazzetto dei Nobili dell'Aquila, with a catalog edited by Carlo Fabrizio Carli. In 2006 he began an exhibition project with the art critic Luca Tommasi, exhibiting at the National Museum of Musical Instruments in Rome and in 2007 at the prestigious fifteenth-century Refectory of the National Museum of the Palace of Venice in Rome. Numerous other projects followed in various Italian cities. Currently we note his participation in the 54th Venice Biennale - Italian Pavilion curated by Vittorio Sgarbi.
