Giuliano Giuman (Perugia 1944) He began his career by studying music, maintaining however a passion for painting which led him to frequent the studio of Gerardo Dottori, futurist and father of aeropainting in 1964. In 1969 he definitively left his musical studies to dedicate himself to painting, working in both Rome and Bologna, painting at this stage only in black and white. His most significant exhibited work of this period is phenomenology. He also carried out experiments on photography and photo-painting, moving to Milan in 1976. In 1982 he began a journey of research between music and painting, also involving glass, which from now on would be the element characterizing his artistic expression. . Glass as an installation in large spaces or as an element for interior architecture. He returned to Umbria where in 1984 he began his collaboration with Umbria Jazz, signing the twentieth anniversary manifesto in 1993, as well as all the others. In 1987 RAI dedicated a special Tabula rasa to him, a video dedicated to his works. Since 1999, having returned to Milan, he teaches at the Brera Academy about the language of stained glass. Many of his works are visible not only in Lombardy, but also in Umbria, Liguria and Sicily, in particular at the court of Catania, at the port authority of Savona, and above all in various basilicas in central Italy.
