La Murrina Biography
It all began in the 1960s in Murano, where a group of master glassmakers ran a small furnace. It was precisely in that period that what is now the Murrina SRL company was born. Initially, the activity focused on the creation of a few prestigious blown glass objects, designed directly by the artist owners of the furnace.
In 1974, ownership of the small furnace passed to a Milanese family, already a producer of glass and metal lighting items. From that moment, the company was managed in a more entrepreneurial way and the "la murrina" brand was registered all over the world. The collections expanded and became richer.
The change of ownership marked an important turning point for the company. In fact, the year 2000 represented the beginning of collaboration with important designers and architects, who contributed to enriching the production with contemporary design collections. Despite the stylistic updates, the ancient techniques of glass blowing were maintained.
Today, Murrina SRL continues to remain faithful to its intrinsic values. The company experiments and proposes new projects and new products, consolidating its leading position in its market sector. Aware of the great value of Italian craftsmanship and design, the company has also opened up to the interior design market, carrying out collaborations that result in proposals of high design depth and in the development of new collections.
The company's primary objective is the progressive internationalization of the brand. This choice represents a fundamental element in the company's development strategy. Murrina SRL positions itself concretely in the creation of luxury projects, both for the residential and hotel sectors, also offering customized supplies.
