Fazio Lauria was born in Castrovillari (Cs) in 1950. Milanese by adoption, he received his cultural education in this city. In 1969 he obtained his artistic maturity at the Brera Art School in Milan and in 1973 he graduated in Scenography at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. His painting was offered to the public for the first time in 1972. In 1975 he moved to Liguria, where he lived for a long period: it was these years of research where his painting and the theme of his works underwent a profound transformation. After a few years, he moved to Pandino (Cr) where he still resides. Since 1972 there have been numerous personal and collective exhibitions and his participation in events. Even in portraiture he expresses his creative ability by proposing mysterious themes and, among the numerous portraits executed, there are those of well-known industrialists, company managers and political personalities. His works can be found abroad in numerous private collections and galleries.
