Sylvia Lefkovitz (1924 – 1987) was a Canadian artist known for her murals, oils, drawings, lithographs and sculptures rendered in bronze, silver, marble and Canadian wood. Her work has been exhibited worldwide and was featured in the 1966 National Film Board of Canada documentary In Search of Medea: The Art of Sylvia Lefkovitz. Among his major pieces are the Five-Figure Bronze Choir, commissioned for Mies Van der Rohe's complex in Montreal's Westmount Square; its Fathers of Confederation, commemorating the Canadian centenary of 1967; the Divine Comedy, purchased by the Canadian government and exhibited in the Dante Hall of the Royal Palace of Milan on the occasion of Dante's 700th birthday; and its eight biblical bronze panels in bas-relief, inspired by Ghiberti's Bronze Doors on the Florence Baptistery.
