Giovanni Lo Presti (1952 - ) was born in Vittoria (Ragusa) in 1952 and has lived and worked in Milan since 1960. In 1982 he graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Dino Lanaro. In '79 he took part in a collective exhibition at the Palazzo dell'Arte in Milan curated by Mario De Micheli. Between 1980 and 1981 he alternated personal exhibitions and collective exhibitions at some Milanese galleries: Galleria San Fedele, Galleria Annunciata, Galleria Ciovasso. Also in '81 he won the San Fedele prize. In 1991 in Milan he exhibited at Palazzo Bagatti and Valsecchi and in '92 a solo show in Mannheim at the Kaleidoskop Gallery and at the Priamar Fortress in Savona. In 2006 he was invited by Philippe Daverio to the 57th edition of the Michetti prize in Francavilla al Mare and in 2008 the traveling collective Exposicion Documenta (Barcelona-Granada-New York). In 2010 he held solo shows at the Sartori Gallery in Mantua and at the Ostrakon Gallery in Milan.
