Franco Lorioli is an artist from Geneva who, after attending middle school, enrolled at the Brera Art School under the guidance of the painter Gian Filippo Usellini. The Painter Usellini was important for Lorioli since he learned from him various techniques and rudiments necessary for his future. At the same time he attended the evening schools of the craftsmen under the unforgettable guidance of the architect Maiocchi, the free school of the nude with Aldo Carpi which he followed until 1957 and in 1958 he graduated in painting. After a few years of intense work he had the opportunity to teach at the same art high school where he had been a student, Figura e Ornato. Then he moved to the Artistic High School of the Ursuline nuns in via Lanzone where he was entrusted with the teaching of figure and watercolor technique.
