Piero Mazzi Biography
Piero Mazzi, born in the beautiful Grosseto Maremma, moved to Florence in the mid-1960s where he studied with various artists including Ugo Bini, Mario Moschi and Primo Conti. In June 2001 Mazzi received an important recognition; in fact, the “Museè Piero Mazzi” is inaugurated in Les Cullayes, Lausanne, considered a place of cultural interest and included in the circuit of Cantonal State Museums. In June 2005 he created a sculpture in brass and granite, "Volo in libero", acquired by the Municipality of Capoliveri and installed in a city square. Among the many solo exhibitions in which Mazzi has presented his works we remember the most recent: Galleria Comunale – Pietrasanta (2010), Profi AG – Darmstadt (2008), Bocconi University of Milan (2007), “La forma del colore”, Regione Toscana , Palazzo Panciatichi – Florence (2007), Galleria Telemaco Signorini – Portoferraio (2007), Piccola Galleria – Bolzano (2006), Galleria Comunale – Vipiteno (2006). Maestro Mazzi's works are permanently exhibited at the Hotel Hermitage (Elba Island).
