Giuseppe Monachesi was born in Loreto in 1920. Called up for military service, he left for India at a very young age, where he spent most of his youth. Having returned to Europe in 1946, he settled in Paris and it was here that his true training as an artist began: he participated in the cultural and artistic life of Montmartre, held his first solo exhibitions and exhibited in numerous exhibitions. The Parisian stay lasts until 1960 and he later moves to Florence. In Italy he has exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions in Riccione, Loreto, Palermo and Florence.
