Renato Natali Biography

Natali Renato (Livorno, 1864-1947) Renato Natali enrolled at the School of Arts and Crafts and soon dedicated himself to self-taught drawing. The artist's first paintings date back to 1898 and in 1903 he received the silver medal from the Ministry of Education. The artist traveled extensively, both in Italy and abroad, although Livorno remained one of his favorite cities. He frequented the Caffè Bardi, where he often took part in group discussions and was soon recognized as a talented artist, capable of developing a recognizable language. The artist also dedicated himself to the creation of lithographs and etchings. In 1914 he directed his painting towards brighter colors and more lively themes. In the 1920s he participated in the establishment of the Labronico Group, presenting his works at the first exhibition of the new group. Subsequently he participated in important exhibitions in Venice, Rome, Milan, followed by the purchase of many of his works by the most important Modern Art Galleries in the city. The artist continued his exhibition activity successfully, participating in numerous exhibitions throughout Italy.
