Alessandro Paterno' was born in Catania in 1969. After a short period of painting apprenticeship in Livorno at the school of Ferruccio Mataresi, he enrolled in a private academy in Catania, under the guidance of Abate and A Sciacca. He attracted the attention of his masters who made him participate in numerous group exhibitions from which he obtained prestigious awards. "The artistic history of the young Paterno" was born naturally within his noble family, which for generations has collected works from various historical periods. Alessandro, breathing and nourishing himself on the paintings of the family collections, experiments and creates a refined style of painting of eighteenth-century quality, with a rich and detailed pictorial texture.
