Giordano Pavan was born in Adria in 1926 and was one of the best students of the famous Maestro Remo Brindisi. Together they organized several art exhibitions. In the 1980s, Pavan had already become very popular and his works were in great demand, so much so that in 1982 he was invited to participate in the 40th International Art Biennale of Venice. He is best known for his dynamic painting, in particular for his cyclists, fleeing the Milanese metropolis. Although some critics defined him as "Dynamist" in the 70s, his art is actually influenced by the great generation between the Abstract and the Informal, but always with great balance and critical sense. Pavan is much admired for his fervent use of color and his painting on tiles, so much so that he has become one of the most famous artists on this surface. His works, including his cosmic landscapes and cyclists, have been exhibited in important solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, and several monographic works edited by art experts have been published. In addition to being a great artist, Pavan also loves two wheels and in 1989 he donated one of his paintings, depicting one of his famous cyclists, to the winner of the Giro d'Italia, the Frenchman Laurent Fignon.
