Pisani Gianni (Naples, 1935) Gianni Pisani was one of the artists who contributed to the renewal of the Neapolitan art scene of the 1950s, establishing links with Pop Art, New Dada, Body Art. He began his career as a painter, frequenting the 'Academy of Fine Arts of Naples. In the 1960s he combined the production of objects with that of paintings. In 1969 he was one of the signatories of the founding charter of the Inexistent Gallery, a gallery not linked to a specific physical space but active throughout the city with impromptu and provocative actions. The main themes of the artist's works are: life, death and sex, relating the biological to the biographical. Some of his works are preserved at the Donna Regina Museum of Contemporary Art (MADRE) and the Museum of Religious Contemporary Art.
