Mario Tabacci (1919 - 2011) was a painter born in 1919 and passed away in 2011. Tabacci has a very classic conception of pictorial making, explained in a figurative language based on a perfect naturalistic rendering. His technique, however, shows traits of pictorialism that make his works quite lively. In his works, whether they are glimpses or scenes of a popular nature, the painter uses an objective and highly didactic language. The setting of the works is figurative and Tabacci shows all his ability in obtaining a perfect naturalistic rendering in a representation rich in detail. Despite this, the painter does not disdain using lively hatching to ensure greater freshness in his executions.
