The style of the painter A. Virgi is characterized by the use of a strongly expressionist language. The artist aspires to go beyond what is perceived by the senses in order to extrapolate the true essence of reality and communicate it in an excited and dramatic way on the canvas. To this end, through the application of color, he develops a process of elevated synthesis that reduces the subjects to dense and material pictorial layers, in which the painter's emotionality also emerges, transmitted through his excited gestures. A. Virgi stands out for the production of traditional genre scenes, which however are reworked through an original contemporary sensitivity. In fact, his style is clearly expressionist and is based on the synthesis of the subjects, in which the pictorial material and the artist's gestures prevail.
