Enrico Visani was born in Marradi in 1938. In 1965 he moved from Florence to Bologna, where he had contacts with various local painters, including Borgonzoni, Biasion and above all Luciano Bertacchini. Thanks to these influences, he modified his painting approach and was introduced to artists such as Afro, Morlotti, Music and Cassinari. Since 1971 he began to study and paint the "Apennines", and in 1972 he exhibited his works in a personal exhibition in Bologna. He continued to exhibit and participate in exhibitions in various Italian and foreign cities from 1979 to 1991, including places such as Paris, London and Sao Paulo, Brazil. In addition to painting, Visani also worked as a graphic designer and illustrator and produced several lithographs and art cards. In 1981 he also began exhibiting in Antwerp, thanks to his meeting with the collector Walter Spruyt. He continued to exhibit in various South American cities and in 1997 he founded the Artists' Union of Emilia Romagna. In the early 2000s he held a major exhibition at the Marino Marini Museum in Florence and continued to exhibit in several countries such as Germany, Belgium, Greece and Australia.
