Since he was a boy he showed a strong predisposition for painting and drawing but his father's aversion prevented him from attending regular studies in the artistic field. At a very young age he moved to Capri where, working in the field of professional photography, he perfected himself in painting following the "indirect" school of his grandfather, the English painter James Talmage White. In the 50s with a series of successful exhibitions in Rome, he moved to the slopes of Vesuvius, in the municipality of Torre del Greco and subsequently in Ravello, to complete his life in Rome.
