Eero Aarnio (Helnsinki, 1932). He studied Interior and Industrial Design in his hometown, at the school of Applied Arts. In 1962 he opened his first design studio in Helsinki, followed by other Finnish and German offices. His talent led him to win important awards throughout Europe and America and his creations are exhibited in major museums. He is characterized by the use of plastic in bright colors and unique solutions, but during his career he creates many high-quality projects. In 1963 he created his famous work, Ball Chair, a ball-shaped fiberglass armchair that led him to worldwide success and fame, and was used, like many of his other works, by important directors in famous films, music videos and scenography.
