ROY ABELL (1931) He attended the College of Art in Birmingham between 1947 and 1952 and the Royal College of Art in London between 1954 and 1957. After his career as a teacher at the Birmingham College of Art he exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions. He was notable as a landscape painter, his oils tending more towards the abstract with an impasto technique.
