Vincenzo Accame (Loano, 6 August 1932 – Milan, 16 July 1999) was an Italian poet, essayist and translator. His poetics, substantially rooted in the field of writing, turns to the visual arts in a constant research and analysis of the possibilities of relationship between word and image, and to the relationships, in aesthetic creativity, between various types of signs. This research is also the fundamental theme of his activity as an essayist. He was editor in 1964 for the neo-avant-garde magazine Malebolge. The volume Anesthetic fully exposes his vision of art.
