ADAMI FRANCO (Pisa 1933) Of classical training, he first attended the "Leonardo da Vinci" Institute in Pisa, then the Cascina School of Art, where at the age of eighteen he received his first recognition for sculpture. He completed his training at the "Ecole des Beaux Arts" in Paris, where he moved in 1959, opening his own studio. Here he becomes a friend and disciple of the sculptor Collamarini, earning a living as a restorer of antiquities. Between 1960 and 1970 he worked mainly with wood and there were years of research and development of his methodology. During his artistic journey he develops his "leitmotif" linked above all to the theme of animals, but he also interprets the mystery of birth, totems and during his travels he remains fascinated by African art, whose influence can be felt in some of his Opera. In 1971, when he began creating works in marble, he came to Pietrasanta for the first time where he opened another studio where he created most of his works. His exhibitions, both personal and collective, take place mainly in France and Italy; participates in various contemporary art fairs throughout Europe collaborating with different galleries.
