(antonella Isanti) Ala Biography
Antonella Isanti, aka Ala, was born in Viterbo in 1966. From 1996 to 2000 she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Since the early nineties he has been assistant to Vincenzo Balsamo in his studio-museum in Verona where Ala reflects the lessons of Alberto Burri, Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, Enrico Castellani, Joseph Cornell and Louise Nevelson and includes in his research objects of daily consumption such as ropes, wood, socks, cotton laces or string and elastics. Among the main solo exhibitions are: La gradiva gallery in Rome, 1991 with a critical essay by Marcello Venturoli; Bianco Oro gallery in Rome, 1992; Zizzari gallery in Rome, 1993; Canpaiola gallery in Rome, 1995; Linea 70 tunnel in Verona, 1997; Serego gallery in Verona, 1999; Fortezza Castelfranco di Finalmarina, 2006, with critical essay by Marisa Vescovo; Orler gallery in Favaro Veneto, 2007 with critical text by Floriano De Santi.
