RAFAEL ALBERTI (Puerto de Santa Maria, 1902 - Cadiz, 1999) He was an important designer as well as one of the most important figures of the Generation of 27. In 1917 he arrived in Madrid where he began to visit the first museums and come into contact with the environment modern of the Spanish capital, enrolling in the Academy of Fine Arts. His works and poems are characterized by a profound sadness and bitterness, for the fate of his country following the outbreak of the Civil War.
