Getulio Alviani (Udine, 1939). He actively works alongside the GRAV group (Groupe de Recherce d'Art Visuelle) in Paris. In 1964 he participated for the first time in the Venice Biennale and subsequently also participated in the 1984, 1986 and 1993 Biennales. In 2005 an exhibition was dedicated to him at the GAMeC, Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, in Bergamo and in the same year, will attend the Quadrennial in Rome. In the 1950s he began to conduct studies on light in relation to materials and in the 1960s he created optical-dynamic and specular structures, analyzed light vibrations and experimented with visual kinetic art. Since 1965 he has been conducting research on visual perception in human behavior and experiments with the mixing of visual arts with the environment and architecture. In 1974 he created three-dimensional structures based on personal mathematical formulations.
