Angelo Ostuni (1904-1981) & Renato Forti (1923-2015) Biography

Renato Forti was born in 1923 and in 1946 he joined the Frangi company in Milan as a designer. Here, under the guidance of Angelo Ostuni, he completed his training as an interior decorator and designer. In collaboration with Angelo Ostuni, he designed furniture and accessories for the Frangi collection, as well as lighting devices for Giuseppe Ostuni's O-Luce, one of the pioneers of modern Italian lighting engineering. 1954 is the year in which the famous F54 modular bookcase was created, which still remains in production after more than fifty years and was recently included in the "Possible Museum" of Abitare magazine. In 1965 he acquired an artisanal carpentry workshop, where he continued to carry out his activity as a designer and interior designer, producing the furniture from the Frangi collection in a limited series. Renato Forti died in Milan in 2015.
