Piero Annibaletto was born in 1909. He began painting self-taught after the war, in Padua, where he was immersed in the lively cultural environment of the time.
His art, which ranged from watercolors to oil paintings, was part of the Venetian landscape tradition but presented innovative characteristics. During the 1960s, he experimented with a particular watercolor technique called "wet on wet", which was based on staining and led to unique results. He also participated in the Triveneta Art Biennale in those years. In the seventies he dedicated himself to watercolor ink and then to oil, developing a more precise painting. Even in this phase, his work resulted in personal visions, focusing mainly on the Euganean landscapes.
