Anton Lutgerink Dartel, born in 1932 and died in the Netherlands in 2012, represented a significant figure in the context of Dutch surrealist art. Although there is little information available regarding the artist's life and work, it is known that he decided to retire from the public scene very early, dedicating himself constantly to painting and traveling the world. During the 1960s, Dartel resided for a short time in Milan. Dartel died in 2012.
