Ceramist of Austrian origin, born in Steyr in 1912, Leopold Anzengruber, after having worked in the 1920s at the "Manifattura di Signa" collaborated with the company for the production of artistic ceramics "Zaccagnini" of Florence, starting from the first half of the 1920s. Thirty. Some of his ceramics made for the "Zaccagnini" factory are signed "Leo". A subsequent collaboration with the Florentine "Carraresi & Lucchesi" is also probable, while it is certain that he designed some ceramics for the "SACA" of Sesto Fiorentino. After a few years of activity in Vietri, at the "ICS" in 1932 and at the "Avallone" factory in 1933-'34 and perhaps also at other ceramic factories in the Neapolitan area, at the end of the 1940s he returned to Vienna where, after a collaboration with the "Mundt Amann" ceramic laboratory establishes its own factory. He died in 1979.
