Maurizio Arcangeli Biography
Maurizio Arcangeli (1959 - ) is an artist born in Montecorsaro (MC) in 1959, lives and works in Milan. He attended art high school from 1973 to 1977 before enrolling at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence in 1979. He subsequently moved to Bologna, where in 1981 he enrolled in C. Pozzati's painting course. In 1989 he participated in a collective exhibition at the Franz Paludetto Gallery in via Pietro Micca in Turin, where he exhibited alongside Umberto Cavenago, Carlo Guaita and Marco Mazzucconi. The same location presented his solo exhibition entitled "Subtraction" in March of the same year. In 1991 he participated in the project by Franz Paludetto and Giancarla Zanutti "Di ten days in ten days", which saw Italian and international artists exhibiting a work or installation every ten days at the Transepoca Gallery in Milan. Critics have written about him: Ciavoliello, Zevi, Di Pietrantonio, Vettese, Guidi, Christov-Bakargiev, Verzotti, Pontiggia, Meneguzzo.
