Roberto Arioli Biography
Roberto Arioli was born in Turin in 1942 and started his artistic career in 1963 with his first solo exhibition entitled "Macchine del futuro". Over the following years, Arioli began to create works in expanded polyurethane, which he successfully exhibited in important cities such as Paris, Brussels, Cologne, Hamburg, Amsterdam and New York.
Starting from 1968, Arioli temporarily interrupted the production of works of art to participate in the development of the new artistic trends of the period, including arte povera, land art and antiform. In 1969, he embarked on a long-term transcultural experience dedicated to the theoretical analysis and practice of the connection between art and life. During this period, he conducted several experiences of collective creativity in the urban suburbs of Nicaragua, Indian reservations and Africa.
In 1981, Arioli resumed his artistic activity by exhibiting installations accompanied by creative workshops open to the public. In recent years, he has developed a series of interactive multimedia installations, thus demonstrating a constant interest in new forms of artistic expression.
