Bruno Artioli, an artist originally from Nocera Umbra born in 1943, was above all a landscape painter who interpreted both with a classic naturalism and with a geometric purity in an abstract key. The landscape has always been present in the painter's artistic research and also as a subject itself. Each historical period has contributed to the evolution of its pictorial style; initially focused on a Brunelleschian perspective of the Renaissance, on the atmospheric rendering of the sixteenth century up to the representation of every element of light reflected on objects in impressionism. The artist develops a particular interpretation of landscape painting which focuses on the organization of the composition, in this way the objects are reduced to pure shapes and colours. The composition of the works is then divided into chromatic bands spread out in a compact manner.
