Vincenzo Aurisicchio (Naples 1855 - 1926) was a Neapolitan sculptor of the 19th and 20th centuries, considered a representative of Neapolitan realism.
He dedicated himself above all to sculptures of "street urchins" and depictions of blindfolded goddesses.
The work of the sculptor Vincenzo Aurisicchio is an example of the realist current in Neapolitan sculpture between the 19th and 20th centuries. Although he often deals with mythological subjects such as Lady Luck, the artist has a realist approach which gives the image a popular and almost familiar connotation.
He mainly uses bronze to create busts with very accentuated and sometimes trivial expressions.
He participated in the First Art Biennial of Naples in 1921 and in the Second Roman International in 1923.
