Pasquale Avallone (Salerno, 1884 – 1965) was an Italian painter and sculptor. Avallone is the Salerno painter of reference for the first half of the twentieth century: in his endless production, the great decorative cycles that saw him involved in the Chamber of Commerce in 1927, in the Bank of Italy in 1928 and above all in the Palazzo di city, where he worked for over a decade, from 1936 to 1947. Here he created a grandiose epic cycle of the history of his hometown, for a total of over 160 m2, which recalls the most salient events and moments of greatest glory of the city.
