Avenali, Marcello. - Painter (Rome 1912 - there 1981), author of frescoes, mosaics, stained glass windows, cartoons for tapestries. After a debut in the "Roman school", in which he was influenced by the realism of A. Ziveri and the neocubism of F. Pirandello, from 1955, he turned towards "abstract-concrete" experiences, revealing his nature as a refined colourist. The stained glass window in the church of the Autostrada del Sole near Florence is his (1964).
