Orazio Bacci was born in Milan in 1941. Painter and photographer, he began painting in 1958. Thanks to the photography activity, inherited from his father, he attended artists' studios from a very young age, becoming friends with masters such as Mario Nigro, Crippa, Enrico Baj and Sergio Dangelo, but also collectors such as Sandro Passarè. For twelve years he photographed the works of Lucio Fontana. From 1966 to 1970 he worked on experimental cinema, screening one of his films at the Novara design school and in personal exhibitions. He takes photographs with double exposure and toning from which he has produced paintings on canvas. From 1968 to 1970 he was part of the Plastic Arts Research Group of the il Parametro laboratory in Milan. He has held thirty-two personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad (including the Museum of Modern Art in Tortosa, Spain, in 2008) and participated in one hundred and nine group exhibitions, also in Italy and abroad. For years he has been followed by the Scoglio di Quarto gallery in Milan.
